This has happened to me before on Narrows. I was at the rocket spawn and meleed some guy. We were running at each other and he went to the left, I went to the right, and we meleed each other`s sides. It said we were both assassinated by each other. I had to go back and watch the film to figure out what happened, but your experience is more bazarre because it seems less likely that you`d have meleed the area close enough to the back side of each of you to be considered an assassination.
