CVJordan your an idiot, it takes two beat downs to kill somebody....if you have under half shield and i melee you you should die....so if you have under half and i dont have n e and we get close range and i melee you and i press the B button first what should happen....i should hit you first and you should die. What this does is rewards the person who just got out gunned, just got some amazing triple kill with no shields and now beats you down first and just got his Overkill, or the guy with faster reflexes. With the new system implemented the way it is, it makes it easier, for noobs for lack of a better word, to be good at this game. Takes less skill....you cant ever go in and fight two ppl by yourself and get a double kill close range when melees are needed. Even if you kill one guy, have half shield, jump and turn in the air, shoot the other guy with your assault rifle and come down on him with a beatdown. If he beatsdown within a second of your beatdown or whatever the range of time is he kills you even though you just ***** the crap out of him. You just dumped on his chest and all he does is look at you, press B, and end all your glorious combatantry. It needs to be fixed....takes alot of skill out of the game.

The halo 3 melee system is new and totally different than H2 just like how H2 was totally different then Halo CE. Also the Halo 2 system had its glitches to but since we didnt have vid we really didnt investagate them further and just blamed it on laggy ass walmart connections (even though you need a high speed modem for live). I just think changing it now is way to early.

Yea i will agree with u here and there, there are some bs beat downs true that... but at the same time i know bungie will not fix it, they will laugh and say get over it. and yea beat downs have their bs moments, but what weapon doesn`t?
