This is a weird thing that happened to me in the Beta. My enemy, and my friend to the right both threw a grenade under him, and at the same time I tried to melee lunge toward him. I flew up into the air just like a Halo 2 sword lunge.

Yet another sign of questionable physics in halo 3. This can also be seen in the death animations after being beat down - sometimes the player will fly across the map. I can`t imagine they can fix it at this point if its a physics issue...
