lol... what you have to watch out for when your running ports is people pre-nading to weaken you as they are dropping down from the base. That and people comming thru port behind you that get easy kills. To avoid both of these, I like staying back on nade spawns with shotty, if possible and having my team centered around plats and flags not close to me, but on the other side of the port so i have somewhere to port to if i get my shields dropped. But it relly depends on how your team plays best... while me controlling ports frees up the rest of my team to keep the fighting all on one front, that may not be what the strengths of your team like to push for. An example i like using is that if the other team is abusing their host and is cross map shooting you (not that hard on warlock), taking cover in nades and in ports in addition to being able to set up areas to get good crossfire going is crutial to turning the game. This is alot easier done in a team slayer game instead of a CTF game because bases really arnt that key, but having a strong structure set up is key to being consistant. Theres a lot that can be said for people that are able to hold a plat... i know i cant do it. I let my friends with the stronger brs cooridinate from plats and top middle to take down enimies quickly. Its my job at port to keep enimies off of the guy at top middle at thats the place that will be recieving a lot of attention and fire. at least... thats the strategy i like running most. as for CTF it seems like a lot of teams on the circuit are going top middle with the flag now, instead of throwing it heath/ramp ports like they did in `06. I can understand that going top middle will put a lot of pressure on teams to be able to return their flag as any1 attempting to do so will come under heavy fire (almost more than shotgun pit on middy), but i will never stop loveing to port flags. Theres still a lot of my technique that I have to work on for this map, but with H3 comming out in like 70 days, im willing to just give up... im really bad at sitting top-mid, at plats/flag, and killing people at yellow or green flag in CTF. hoped this helped any1 interested... feel free to call me a nubis or what ever, just tell me what you do different =)

Pretty good, you should teach me how to guard the ports I usually just take yellow or green base.
