You teleport eight meters in the direction you are currently moving. Just activating a TP without moving in any direction will fail. You would stay still. So yes, it is controlled. Nothing random about it.

When you teleport, do you teleport to a random spot on the map, or is it controlled?

I guess I am going to have to go pick up this game. I don`t like the idea of an FPS with magic at all, but it does look interesting.
