im pretty sure it works on lan u just have to be host. Local is the same as lan but theres always a host.

It Does Not Work On LAN Good Find Wish It Worked Tried It Every Way Possible Sadly (It Doesnt Even Work Split Screen System Link) Only In Local So We Wont Be Seeing This Bad Boy At MLG only to impress your friends your split screening with
