This was the final round of the Omegathon that Penny Arcade has every year at the Penny Arcade Expo, which is what many people call the next E3. The winner of this got a trip to the Tokyo Game Show, and tickets for several of his friends...
In the Omegathon like 27 people chosen at random from the signups for the Expo duke it out in rounds in different games. Neither of the 2 finalists had ever played halo...shocker I know.
Anyway, that is why he was so happy that he won...sure any of us could kill both of them, but they are probably better at most of the games they had to play before the finals.
