The only possibility I see is that it deflected off the opponent`s grenade. I know it didn`t look like that, but what does your teammate`s POV say?

The same thing happened to my friend Damasssta, except his had no grenades or walls and it was 90 degrees. So I still think his death was worse but eitherway, that area of Construct is cursed.
